Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actress. Her most well-known role is her role as Skyler White on The AMC drama series Breaking Bad for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in an Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. Alongside her roles as Martha Bullock and Jean Ward, she has appeared in The Practice. The actress was born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in 1968 Anna Gunn fell in love with acting in Preparatory School, before her family moved to Ohio at the end of the 1970's. Theatre studies was at Northwestern University. A semester was spent at the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her journey in Chicago and worked in theater role for several years. Later, she relocated to Hollywood and began acting in movies and television shows. In 1992 Anna landed her first big part in the role of Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. After guest appearances as a Star in several TV Shows and films, such as Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue in the 90's, she was chosen to play Jean Ward as part of The Practice. Martha Bullock played two full seasons of Deadwood that was shot between 2000 and 2001. Skyler was the character she played in her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully was one of her characters. Gunn has also appeared on stages in David Schwimmer's show Sex With Strangers. Gunn also played a part in the play Numbered Day. It is a podcast consisting of four audio plays. Breaking Bad revolves around Walter White's marriage to Skyler. Walter White's life story as well as the stress on his relationship with Skyler are mirrored in the show.
