Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She is also the director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely known as the pioneer of modern-day scientific research of eyewitness accounts from children's memories as well as the role of children victims in court settings. Professor Goodman is the author of numerous publications and many awards to her credit and is the recipient of numerous national and global awards. She has been a consultant to numerous government agencies and governments across the world on policies and research concerning child victims in the legal system. She is a consultant at the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as The Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a fellow of several professional organizations, such as those of the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychology of Traumatic Stress and Women 56). Professor Goodman is a member of Psychonomics Society, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding Member, International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice.
